  • This is a permanent full-time position with an 80-hour fortnightly roster plus additional on-call duties.
  • The role comes with competitive compensation, ranging from $88,467.60 to $101,691.20 annually, commensurate with Medical Imaging Technology Grade 2 Year 1-4 (AG1 – CW5).
  • You will be based at Alfred Health's Alfred Radiology department.

About Our Department

Our Radiology Department is a tertiary teaching and trauma hospital, recognized for its cutting-edge imaging technologies and commitment to patient care.

We prioritize education, professional development, and innovation to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As an Imaging Specialist, you will provide high-quality radiographic examinations, prioritizing patient comfort, welfare, and safety in accordance with established standards.

Staff members will be rotated through various aspects of our MRI service, ensuring a broad range of experiences. Some shift work and on-call duties may be required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Radiations or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligibility for A.S.M.I.R.T. Statement of Compliance.
  • A.S.M.I.R.T. Level One MRI Accreditation or equivalent certification.
  • National Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Imaging Technologist.
  • Victorian Department of Health Use Licence.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in line with registration requirements.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • At least 12 months of experience working in MRI, preferably with advanced neuro and cardiac imaging experience.
  • Prior experience in a tertiary health service environment is highly advantageous.
