Job Opportunity

We are seeking a diligent Scullery Attendant to join our team in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities
  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, using industrial dishwashing machines or hand-washing when necessary.
  • Clean and maintain dishwashing machines and report any malfunctions or issues to management.
  • Operate the dish washing machine as per instruction manual.
  • Dispose of waste, garbage, and recycling materials properly.
  • Perform cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas, and scullery.
  • Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current health and hygiene regulations.
  • Handle chemicals and equipment correctly as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Prepare mise-en-place as required.
  • Promote a safe working environment by identifying hazards and promoting general WHS practices.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks if required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
  • Preferred experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Understanding of food safety principles.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
  • The successful applicant will need to have existing full working rights within Australia.

  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
  • Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various duties in the kitchen.
