Mechanical Fitter Position

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Fitter to join our dynamic team in a role that requires expertise in mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overhaul and repair various makes and types of gearbox and power transmission equipment.
  • Strip, clean, inspect, and repair industrial power transmission equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Establish root causes of equipment issues to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Engage in occasional travel and site work as required.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and development, including OEM training.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter with Australian qualifications.
  • Safety-conscious with a thorough understanding of and compliance with work safety standards.
  • Strong technical ability to read engineering drawings and utilize workshop measuring equipment.
  • Results-driven attitude with excellent workload management skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dedicated, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Experience with wind turbines is advantageous.
  • Ability to mentor trainees and apprentices.
  • Experience in gearbox testing.
  • High-risk work licenses (FLT, Dogging, and Rigging) preferred; training will be provided where necessary.
