Pick Packer – Warehouse Operations Specialist

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a great team culture, with a focus on pickpacking and labouring tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves working in cold storage, putting away products, replenishing stock, picking and packing products, scanning of incoming goods, loading and unloading trucks and containers, and manual handling and heavy lifting of products.

The Client:

A national leader in the seafood industry seeks a reliable and skilled Pick Packer to join their warehouse operations team.

The Role:

  • Cold Storage: Maintain a safe and efficient working environment in our cold storage facilities.
  • Putaways: Accurately receive and store products in our warehouse.
  • Replenishment: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure seamless product flow.
  • Picking and Packing Products: Select and package products for delivery to customers.
  • Scanning of Incoming Goods: Verify and record the receipt of products using our scanning system.
  • Loading and Unloading Trucks and Containers: Safely load and unload products from vehicles and containers.
  • Manual Handling and Heavy Lifting: Use proper techniques to lift and move products safely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Willingness to Work in Cold Storage: Ability to adapt to a cold storage environment.
  • Experience with Replenishment and Putaway: Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • Ability to Load and Unload Trucks: Physical ability to lift and move products safely.
  • Previous Experience in a Fast-Paced Environment: Proven track record of working effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent WHS Knowledge: Understanding of workplace health and safety protocols.
  • Ability to Work Autonomously as Well as in a Team: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues while also working independently.
