Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Specialist for Underground Operations to join our team at the Tanami Mine site. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice relating to maintenance and operational systems, processes, and procedures.

You will be involved in all phases of business readiness activities, including optimizing design, installation assistance, commissioning, identification, and cataloguing of spares, and deployment of maintenance and operational systems support in term of Mine Maintenance (MIN-MAN) for the Tanami Expansion 2 (TE2) project.

This role requires a self-starter with the ability to identify maintenance requirements associated with a vertical shaft hoisting system and crushing circuit along with the associated surface and underground infrastructure.

The TE2 project has commenced with Stage 4 of the project to deliver a vertical production shaft and the associated surface and underground materials handling and services facilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in the mining industry (within or outside Australia)
  • Experience with Shaft and Hoisting systems (Winders), Primary crushing circuits, Conveyor circuits, and Associated infrastructure
  • An electrical trade or tertiary qualification
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • PC skills and computer literacy with familiarisation of various software packages associated with the project controls discipline including MS Office suite, MS Project, document control systems, and Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Location and Working Conditions

This position is based in Darwin, Alice Springs, Brisbane, or Perth, with regular travel to the Tanami Mine site required.

Working a 2:2 roster, you can FIFO from the listed locations and reside in our fully equipped accommodation village.
