Green Space Care Specialist

As a Greenkeeper, you will be key in maintaining and enhancing turf areas ensuring they remain lush, healthy, and resilient.

This hands-on role involves performing regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces.

Monitoring turf health and proactively addressing issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices is crucial for this role.

You will implement sustainable turf management practices including water conservation strategies and pest management techniques.

Operating and maintaining specialised turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety is essential.

Collaboration with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver exceptional results is also required.

Effective communication with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations is vital for success in this role.

  • Certificate III in Sports Turf Management
  • Cricket Wicket experience (desirable)
  • Previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements.
  • Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers.

Responsibilities:

About You:
  • Have a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.
  • Have cricket wicket experience (desirable).
  • Have previous experience in turf management, greenkeeping, or a related field (preferred).
  • Know turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements.
  • Be familiar with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers.
