Sr. Project Manager.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will create and develop supportive relationships with employees, internal and external clients. This person will provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services. Additionally, they will manage projects in a manner that complements all facets of the project from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the 'Client for Life' concept for existing and new clients.
This role involves assisting the team by providing hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training project managers, engineers, and system engineers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for execution coordination, project documentation, financials, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Possess a deep understanding of automation systems and construction, as well as mechanical and electrical systems and services.
- Offer solutions to clients with support from other engineering and field personnel.
- Design and develop distributed control systems, including PLC/HMI/SCADA programs, product selection for bills of materials based on customer specifications, creating sequences of operations, and creating engineering drawings.
- Perform project startup, program modification, and commissioning of new PLC/HMI/SCADA control systems.
- Continuously develop relationships with existing clients and pursue opportunities that provide long-term client relationships and revenue opportunities.
- Utilize internal estimating software and standard product selections to develop solutions for clients and review with team members prior to client submission.
- Act as an account manager or single point of contact with clients during project execution.
- Work collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers, and other internal staff.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with PLCs/HMIs/SCADA systems in areas such as discrete manufacturing, process controls, oil and gas, food and beverage, robotics, chemical/pharmaceutical, or automotive.
- A Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, or engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in estimating and managing automation projects, as well as building and growing client relationships.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
