Mechanical Shift Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Shift Fitter to join our Mechanical Maintenance team in Salisbury. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing hands-on maintenance services to our production teams, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including isolating equipment and performing corrective maintenance on machines
- Inspect equipment and identify faults, taking necessary actions to repair these
- Respond to and resolve machine breakdowns with a sense of urgency
- Plan and coordinate shutdowns for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Continually seek opportunities to improve our maintenance strategies
- Demonstrated experience in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including machine rebuilds and improvements
- Machining experience: Lathe and Milling machine
- Experience in alignment: motors, pumps, gearboxes, pulleys, belts, chains
- Experience in Hydraulic & Pneumatic circuits and components
