About the Role

The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees across our warehouse and corporate office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Health & Safety team and drive a culture of safety within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively lead and develop the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team
  • Work with stakeholders and partners to align on project goals, resources, and provide hands-on advice
  • Develop and implement strategies to create and maintain a proactive safety culture
  • Embrace our health and safety platform and ensure effective utilisation for capturing health and safety information
  • Communicate the overall program roadmap and provide periodic status updates to stakeholders
  • Review emergency response systems and participate in crisis management response
  • Ensure Safety Management System audits are conducted and corrective actions plans are executed
  • Develop and promote wellness programs, including mental health initiatives
  • Oversee procedures for management of Workers Compensation claims and Employee Assistance Programs
  • Oversee the injury management and return to work program for all injured workers
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role leading a small team of health and safety professionals
  • Experience in a business with both an office and operational environment
  • Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • Demonstrable experience implementing a behaviour-based model of safety
  • Significant understanding of all safety and related legislation and Workers Compensation claims
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative and effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and develop solutions
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and experience working in a business partnering model
  • The ability to manage and develop wide stakeholder relationships, use influencing skills, and a pragmatic mindset
