We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fashion Designer to lead our Fashion Lingerie Category as Head Designer on a 7-month parental leave cover contract.
As a proven design leader, you will be responsible for establishing and driving the creative vision and brand direction, generating ideas and developing commercially successful ranges with your teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and inspiring a group of designers
- Working closely with the Head Designer of Everyday Category to ensure a seamless design plan each quarter and product synchronization
- Researching global consumer trends through creative forecast services, international magazines, and market analysis, and interpreting these for our brand and market
- Ensuring the seasonal product direction is executed from conception to retail, across a broad range of categories
- Developing strong relationships and collaboration between In Season and Innovation design teams, and cross-functionally with Product, Retail, Sales, and Supply teams
- Ensuring ranges are aligned to trends, consumer insights, and strategic plans
- Identifying future product opportunities and mapping these in brand pipelines
Essential for your success, you will have:
- Inspirational team leadership capability and solid experience in a senior design role
- Tertiary qualifications in Fashion & Textile Design – garment construction, pattern making, and yarn knowledge
- Proficiency in Adobe programs
- Your finger firmly on the pulse with trends, which you can translate to best-selling ranges
- You're innovative and not afraid to push the boundaries
- Ability to develop relationships with people at all levels within the business
