We're seeking an experienced Business Affairs Specialist to partner with our Creative executives on commercial aspects of developing and commissioning high-quality content. The successful candidate will manage deal negotiation, work closely with the Legal team to document and execute development agreements, and develop market expertise by focusing on market trends and upcoming content opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnering with Creative executives to drive commercial strategy for Stan Originals.
  • Managing deal negotiation, including structuring, drafting, negotiating, and implementing complex deals and offers for scripted and non-scripted content.
  • Developing market expertise by continually focusing on market trends and keeping abreast of upcoming content opportunities.

Requirements include experience in business affairs roles at commissioners, producers, or funders; content acquisition or sales, or as a commercial lawyer with experience in complex rights negotiations and knowledge of intellectual property.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a business affairs role at a commissioner, producer, or funder.
  • Experience dealing with Australian and international funders in relation to TV and Film deals.
  • Ability to read, understand, and consult on finance plans, budgets, and cost reports.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Great analytical and critical thinking skills, alongside the ability to manage detailed information.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and nurture both internal and external relationships.
  • Passion and enthusiasm for TV & Movies.
