The Insurance Australia Group Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their Ambiata Application Engineering team in Sydney or Melbourne. This permanent role offers a hybrid work model and comes with a competitive salary package.

About the Role

This position encompasses designing, implementing, and maintaining AI and ML services that support personalization and automated customer decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate with the team to understand client, product, and internal requirements, translating them into software solutions that enhance business impact and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AI and ML services using advanced technology such as Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Collaborate with the team to understand client, product, and internal requirements
  • Translate requirements into software solutions that enhance business impact and customer experience
  • Maintain existing AI and ML services to ensure they remain scalable and efficient
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in software development and architecture
  • Proven expertise in REST API design and implementation using current web server development tools and methodologies
  • Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices (SCM / Unit Tests)
  • Broad knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker and Kubernetes deployments
  • General knowledge, passion, experience, and interest in ML technologies and approaches
