This role offers an opportunity to offer emotional and pastoral care to prison inmates, staff, and their families.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • Communicate the Christian message clearly through conversations, bible study and chapel services.
  • Work with Correctional Services Chaplains of other denominations and faiths.
\

You must be able to pass all Corrective services security checks and meet the requirements to be licensed by the Bishop for ministry in the Diocese of Bathurst.

\Requirements:\
  • Ordained Minister of the Anglican Church of Australia, currently licensed within Diocese of Bathurst or eligible to be licensed by the Bishop or a layperson with the minimum of a three year tertiary qualifications in theology/ministry.
  • Preferred minimum of five years ministry experience in a parish or chaplaincy setting.
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in pastoral ministry with a range of individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and listening skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a team and autonomously.
