This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial finance professional with superior transport and logistics experience who wants to be intimately involved in all commercial aspects of the business and relishes partnering and dealing with senior non-finance stakeholders.

The Role:

Work with senior executives to ensure the business receives a clear and transparent view of performance while ensuring the group receives commercial decision support services to enable superior commercial decisions. Critically, the position will also support the SLT with strategic support for growth, transformation, and investment initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, value, and recommend strategic opportunities to improve financial results
  • Provide strategic insight, influence, and consultation through a deep understanding of portfolio key drivers of value and ability to see and articulate opportunity costs/risk
  • Financial modelling for growth initiatives, investments, projects, and business cases
  • Annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Support the management of the long-range strategic planning process
  • Coordinate, manage, deliver, and present the business plan, including strategic initiative overlays
  • Production of P&L reporting and working with ELT and Heads of to lead and influence integrated and cross-functional monthly decision-making forums
  • Support the ELT and Head of Commercial Finance on numerous strategic growth and investment projects

Requirements:

  • CA/CPA qualified (ideally from PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG) with superior commercial acumen, coupled with deep business partnering experience that has most likely been developed in a dynamic, complex, and fast-paced ASX/MNE environment
  • Proven transport/logistics/supply chain experience is mandatory
  • Advanced financial modelling skills coupled with outstanding presentation skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to partner and influence key non-finance executives
  • This is a highly commercial opportunity; experience in a similar position in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation will be critical to your success
  • Superior data analytics and BI tools expertise will be looked upon favourably
  • Executive presence to successfully manage, negotiate, and communicate to non-finance executive stakeholders will be critical to your success
