Electrical Maintenance Specialist

The role requires a diligent and flexible individual to support our production crew through preventive maintenance and breakdown support.

This is a full-time position involving rotation on both morning and afternoon shifts across multiple 24-hour production facilities.

As part of the maintenance team, our Industrial Electricians are critical in supporting the production crew.

We expect applicants to hold relevant trade qualifications, demonstrate good communication, problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate commitment to safety, quality and the environment
  • Carry out electrical repairs on fixed plant with emphasis on planned and predictive preventative maintenance
  • Work closely with Operations team during breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting issues
  • Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain PLCs and circuitry
  • Perform inspections, servicing and repairs according to site requirements
  • Focus on continuous improvement ideas
  • Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required

Requirements:

  • Trade qualified (valid unrestricted electrical licence)
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Electrician in an industrial environment
  • High level of fault-finding experience
  • PLC diagnostic experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Confident, self-motivated individual
  • Team player with high degree of trade flexibility
  • Able to work autonomously and without direct supervision
