Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Doorways team as a full-time Case Worker. This role is based in Dandenong but includes travel to other Salvation Army sites.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Corps Officers, Volunteers, and other co-located Mission Leaders to deliver an integrated approach to delivering Doorways at the local site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain relationships within TSA and with local community stakeholders to identify local resources, community needs, and opportunities for collaboration
  • Assessment of community members' specific needs, strengths and identification of interrelated issues and needs
  • Develop high quality case plans with community members to identify achievable goals using a strength-based approach
  • Provide effective response to people experiencing longer term disadvantage and generational poverty
  • Support community members to build and increase capacity and develop independent living skills towards self-determination

The ideal candidate will possess a Degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other Community/Human Services discipline or relevant experience in the community services sector. A national Criminal History check, current and valid Working with Children's Check, and a valid Victorian Driver's license are also essential requirements.

Benefits and Remuneration

This position offers a salary range of $70,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
