Job Title: Furniture Upholsterer

Job Type: Full-time position

Job Description:

Transforming locally made timber frames into finished products involves preparation, webbing, foam work, and upholstering covers to create a range of Armchairs, Sofas, Ottomans, and Beds. This role requires the ability to take raw materials and turn them into high-quality furniture.

Key Skills and Experience:

- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a skilled craftsman in upholstery

- Proficiency in working with various upholstery materials such as fabrics, foams, and woods

- Skilled in sewing and cutting techniques including pattern making and grading

- Experienced in prepping frames for upholstery and preparing surfaces for finishing

- Knowledgeable in webbing and foam work, including installation and removal

- Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and specifications

Additional Requirements:

- A keen eye for detail and an uncompromising quality focus

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities

Remuneration: Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
