Haematology Clinical Trial Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Haematology Clinical Trial Nurse Consultant to join our St Vincent's Haematology Nursing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cohesive care to patients undergoing Haematology clinical trials.
Reporting to the Inpatient Nurse Unit Manager and working closely with the Haematology Clinical Research Centre, you will utilize your expertise to provide specialized clinical and research coordination to support staff in the planning, delivery, and ongoing management of patients on clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical support, instruction, and mentoring for nurses regarding nursing assessments and interventions for patients on clinical trials.
- Support the delivery of patient and family education to enhance understanding of the aims, expectations, and procedures for therapeutic agents they are receiving.
- Establish and maintain resources and guidelines that support nursing staff with patient education.
- Current National criminal history check.

6 West is a 19-bed unit comprising acute Haematology and Oncology beds, providing comprehensive inpatient care through diagnosis and management of a wide range of haematological conditions. The department also supports the delivery of treatment and ongoing management of patients on complex haematology clinical trials, working in close collaboration with the Haematology Clinical Research Centre (HCRC).
The HCRC offers a diverse range of clinical trials, including CAR-T cells and T cell engagers and other novel therapeutics.
