About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Leisure and Lifestyle Officer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based at our residential aged care facility in St Marys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging leisure and lifestyle programs that promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice.
  • Collaborate with the team to assess resident social, spiritual, and emotional needs, and develop individualized leisure and lifestyle programs.
  • Utilize creativity and innovation to bring meaning to residents' daily lives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication skills to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to leisure and lifestyle programs.

Requirements

  • Completed or near completion of a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or Diploma in Health Science, Diversional Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or related discipline.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the aged/health sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
