About the Role:

The FourQuarters Recruitment team is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our client's growing technology team in Sydney. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data infrastructure and pipelines to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines, including front-end and back-end architecture, databases, and documentation.
  • Optimize existing data solutions, including bug fixes and support for Fintech and eCommerce projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and robust data solutions.
  • Manage data from multiple sources and consume internal and third-party APIs.
  • Write automated tests, perform code reviews, and adhere to high coding standards.
  • Create reports and data analytics for stakeholders to inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in developing and delivering scalable data solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS architecture.
  • SQL and Python coding skills.
  • Data modeling and designing data warehouses, including Snowflake.
  • Experience with relational databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
  • ELT/ETL tools and data visualization tools, such as PowerBI and Tableau.
  • Experience with web applications on multi-cloud environments.
  • CI/CD, automated testing, and Jira/Confluence.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Interest in learning new technologies and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
