Physical Security Manager

A Physical Security Manager is required to lead the development and implementation of a Physical Security Operations Centre (PSOC). The role involves establishing the overall strategy to operationalise the PSOC capability from concept phase through to operations phases.
The successful candidate will provide risk, threat, and vulnerability management subject matter expertise to support the leadership and other security teams. They will also direct and oversee the management of Physical / Protective Security Risk, Threat, and Vulnerability Management.
Key responsibilities include managing and implementing an effective protective security risk, threat and vulnerability management plan, schedule, and roadmap. This includes stakeholder engagement and support, processes, and documentation.
The Physical Security Manager will identify vulnerable processes and systems and provide advice and support for the remediation of security risk and reduce exposure to security threats to support the rollout of new assets.
Required Skills and Qualifications* 6+ years experience working in areas related to PSOC, or public sector agencies involved in physical security management.
* Proficient with government security frameworks, policies and standards (e.g. PSPF, ISM, DSPF. ASD Essential Eight).
* Minimum 5 years experience in implementing and operationalising security to meet business outcomes.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to produce detailed and complex written business cases.
