Key Roles and Responsibilities for a Corporate Communications Executive

The primary goal of this position is to provide strategic support to account teams in daily activities, ensuring seamless execution of client services. To achieve this, the successful candidate will need to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

This role involves continuous learning and professional growth, as the ideal candidate will be expected to develop expertise in Edelman's consulting processes and approaches. They will work closely with various account service staff to execute these processes effectively for clients.

As a Corporate Communications Executive, you will embody the spirit of our company values and behaviours, upholding them in all aspects of your delivery. Your responsibilities will include building on existing foundations, demonstrating growing capabilities across client service principles, and working in a global communications marketing business.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 12-18 months of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or related fields.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated interest in the technology sector, with a particular passion for B2B and corporate communications.
  • Basic proficiency with generative AI tools and curiosity about how AI can support modern communication practices.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills, along with the ability to develop media contacts/relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Support team with client service administration and junior consulting requirements across designated accounts.
  • Demonstrate greater capabilities across research, writing, administrative, and organizational skills to facilitate best results for team and clients.
  • Build on current network of traditional and online media contacts.
  • Take ownership of critical level of account service across assigned clients.
