Badminton Coach Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic Badminton Coaches to join our team at the Y Leisure City in Epping. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in founding our new Badminton program and provide an amazing badminton experience for children aged 5 – 12 years.

As a Badminton Coach, you will be responsible for providing on-court coaching, assisting in delivering quality programs, and ensuring a fun and supportive experience for participants. You will also be required to assist with set up and pack up of the badminton courts.

We are looking for coaches of all levels (Junior through to Senior) and encourage you to apply. If you have experience competing in badminton and love the sport, but haven't coached before, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-court coaching according to the programs
  • Assist in delivering quality programs and a fun and supportive experience for participants
  • Assist with set up/pack up of the badminton courts
  • Be friendly, approachable, and helpful to all students and their parents/guardians where applicable

What We're Looking For:
  • Legal right to live and work in Australia
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • International Police check if you have lived outside Australia in the last 5 years
  • A passion for badminton and experience playing/competing
  • A fun, positive and supportive demeanour that resonates with children
  • Availability to work on Sundays
  • The ability to deal with patrons of all ages, cultures and abilities
  • A sports related qualification and related sports experience is not necessary but would be highly regarded
