Lead Machinist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lead Machinist to oversee a team of Fitters/Machinists in our Geraldton workshop.

About the Role:
  • Role: Leading Hand overseeing 3 Machinist/Fitters in our Geraldton workshops.
  • Location: Preference for candidates living in or willing to relocate to Geraldton.
  • Hours: 50 hours per week with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of machining and operation of machines, including Milling, Manual Lathe, CNC Programming, Hydraulic Press, and Balancing Machine.
  • Supervision of team members to ensure adherence to safe work systems and OHS standards.
  • Assistance with design input, estimating, tendering, innovation, and employee scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years supervisor or leading hand experience (preferable).
  • Trade Certificate (Fitting & Machining).
  • Construction Industry White Card.
  • Current Police Clearance (obtained within the past 12 months).
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Located in Western Australia (preferable).
