Environmental Specialist Role

This environmental specialist position involves providing routine and ad-hoc environmental monitoring, as well as scientific inputs during environmental incidents. The role requires collaboration with a dynamic team to collect and analyze water, wastewater, and environmental samples from multiple sites.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct field activities including sampling and analysis of water and environmental samples according to documented methods.
  • Work independently and in a team environment to deliver timely and accurate results.
  • Provide critical insights and expertise during response to environmental incidents.
  • Enter data accurately into the Laboratory Information Management System.
  • Maintain and calibrate field and laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery by handling samples, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Requirements
  • Precisely collect and prepare routine and non-routine samples for analysis.
  • Operate and maintain field analytical equipment effectively.
  • Analyze laboratory data using computer software to produce reliable results.
  • Collaborate as part of a professional team to deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines.

This role demands proficiency in laboratory procedures, understanding of NATA accreditation requirements, and experience working in a fast-paced team environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
