About the Role

As Asphalt Superintendent, you will oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of asphalt and spray crews based at Williamstown, Lysterfield, and Geelong. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently, supporting the continued growth of the business and the teams within your remit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Boral's OH&S policy and maintain high safety and environmental standards.
  • Scope out works prior to commencement and ensure correct resourcing is in place to deliver works safely and efficiently.
  • Manage supervisors and crews to achieve day-to-day operational targets, including financial, volume, and quality.
  • Establish and maintain strategic customer and supplier relationships.
  • Participate in weekly program meetings and work with labor hire companies to fill positions for job-specific programs or roles required.
  • Oversee all projects and paving contracts, ensuring resources are allocated to complete works efficiently.
  • Collaborate with QMR, PMs/PEs to complete requirements for each project, including inductions and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in asphalt manufacturing, asphalt contracting, or sprayed seal contracting, or a relevant field.
  • Strong customer engagement and negotiating skills, including contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Passionate about asphalt and looking to progress your career.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring qualities.
