We are currently working with the Western Australian Electoral Commission to provide a workforce for the upcoming State election in 2025.

We are seeking election support staff to assist with various roles, including issuing officers, student electoral officers, voter information officers, general assistants, ballot box guards, and queue controllers. These roles are essential to the smooth operation of polling places on election day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issuing officers will be responsible for issuing ballot papers to electors on polling day.
  • Student electoral officers will assist with polling place duties performed by officers.
  • Voter information officers will assist electors with language, literacy, or other requirements.
  • General assistants will assist with the setup of polling places and the count on polling day.
  • Ballot box guards will ensure the correct ballot box papers are put into the ballot boxes.
  • Queue controllers will manage the queue into the polling place and direct electors as needed.

Requirements:

  • Issuing officers and ballot box guards will work on polling day from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
  • Student electoral officers will work on polling day from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Voter information officers will work from 24th February to 8th March 2025, with varying hours.
  • General assistants will work on polling day from 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
