Electrical System Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Electrical System Specialist to join our team at Malaga. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in coordination and assigning personnel tasks
  • Evaluate the quality of work of team members and provide feedback for reviews
  • Assist, guide and mentor the team as required and provide hands-on assistance as needed

Your key duties will be focused on ensuring employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their work.

You will actively participate in the company's continuous improvement programs, adopting and implementing the 5S systems to ensure minimal waste.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
  • Read technical diagrams and schematics
  • Perform general electrical maintenance
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Australian recognised Electrical Trade certificate and Grade A State Electrical Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems, power generation, blueprints, and maintenance and repair
  • Experience in renewable energy field
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines to meet AS 3000
  • Cert IV in Management/Leadership Training (Preferred)
  • Ability to mentor apprentices
  • Current and valid Class C driver's license
