Job Summary:

As a customs clearance professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and compliant movement of international shipments through customs and regulatory processes. You will collaborate closely with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to facilitate efficient customs clearance operations and maintain regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Review customs documentation, classify goods according to customs regulations, and determine duty rates and tax liabilities.
  • Resolve customs-related issues and provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and proactively resolving clearance issues.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal teams for efficient and timely clearance.
Requirements:
  • Secondary education or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in Customs.
  • For Associate level, no prior experience is required.
  • For Lead level, at least five (5) years of work experience in Customs, with at least two (2) years at FedEx / TNT.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations, procedures, and trade compliance.
  • Proficient in customs clearance software and online customs portals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & PC.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven planning & organizing skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
