About the Role

Our construction litigation team has a strong pipeline of work with blue-chip and government clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join our rapidly growing Brisbane Construction practice group in a back-end litigation role.

You will work directly with experienced partners who are committed to mentoring you and supporting your development and career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Progress litigation matters from start to finish under supportive supervision;
  • Draft correspondence, pleadings, submissions, affidavits, and other court documents;
  • Appear at hearings (including directions hearings, winding-up and creditors' petitions, and interlocutory applications);
  • Prepare detailed advice and evidence; and
  • Brief and work closely with counsel on defended litigation.

Requirements:

  • a genuine interest in developing expertise in litigation;
  • experience in commercial litigation or back-end construction dispute resolution;
  • an ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients;
  • excellent attention to detail and research skills;
  • an innovative, problem-solving mindset; and
  • excellent time management and organisational skills.
