Project Coordination and Development Specialist

The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act. This corporation plays a crucial role in assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural, and environmental benefits through land and water management.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist project teams in identifying and implementing projects that deliver benefits to Indigenous Australians.
  • Manage land and water assets for divestment to Indigenous organisations.
  • Develop projects that support Indigenous aspirations and maximise asset productivity.
  • Provide reports, liaise with partners, and ensure contract obligations are met.
Key Qualifications and Capabilities:
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills with Indigenous Australians.
  • Collaboration with Indigenous businesses and organisations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse environment.
  • Related experience in project coordination or management techniques.
  • Understanding of contractual obligations and their relation to work tasks.
  • Administrative experience in project management, including logistics, scheduling, document coordination, and records management.
  • Research and analysis skills for routine correspondence and reporting.
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills as an individual and team member.
