Job Opportunity

As a senior electrical engineer, you will play a key role in driving innovation and project delivery within our Protection and Test Services team.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure. They will be proficient in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading SCADA system projects, design and configuration
  • Providing expert engineering advice on regulatory compliance, system integration, and emerging technologies
  • Acting as a technical lead on major bids and proposals, supporting business development and client engagement
  • Managing SCADA-related systems and documentation including software versions, virtual machines, testing equipment, and client-specific standards
  • Contributing to financial planning and project management through estimates, budgets, and reporting.

We are seeking a technical expert and leader with the ability to solve complex problems and guide others to achieve high standards. Some of your key skills and qualifications may include:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Electrical Engineering (or related field), and RPEQ or RPEV accreditation
  • Significant experience in SCADA systems across renewable energy, substations, and grid infrastructure
  • Proficiency in multi-vendor SCADA configurations, RTUs, HMIs, and relevant communication protocols
  • Understanding of the Australian electricity industry and regulatory requirements
  • A track record of managing risk, maintaining safety standards, and delivering quality outcomes
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
  • Experience with cyber security frameworks and SCADA integration with AEMO systems
  • Testing, commissioning, and estimating experience
  • Project management certification or demonstrated high-level project delivery capability.
