About the Role

This Automation Reliability and Maintenance Operations Expert will be responsible for managing automation uptime, asset reliability, quality on-time maintenance planning, and spare parts control to ensure seamless performance and reliability of automated fulfilment operations.

You will develop, implement, monitor, and improve preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and extended lifecycle performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage automation uptime and asset reliability to ensure uninterrupted performance
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for optimal equipment performance and resource utilisation
  • Provide insights into asset failure early warning systems and drive RCA outcomes from prior failures
  • Support the development of asset maintenance plans derived from FMEA or similar criticality analysis assessments
  • Lead a culture of Continuous Improvement across all aspects of site maintenance
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to site teams on equipment performance and reliability objectives
  • Support the delivery of quality control across all operational areas to meet set expectations
  • Foster partnership and collaboration with automation equipment vendor site leadership and operations teams
  • Accountable for budgeting and financial performance of mechanical electrical and spare parts services from the automation maintenance vendor
About You

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of five years' experience in reliability engineering or maintenance management, preferably in automated distribution centres, logistics, or manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
  • Proven track record of contract and contractor management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive change in complex environments
  • Proficient computer skills for data analysis, report creation, graphing, charting, presentations, and training packages
  • Lean TPM/Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent
  • Experience in developing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Understanding of Condition Based Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance principles
