The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Specialist to join our innovative Environmental Health team, which strives to deliver exceptional outcomes in a diverse municipality. About You
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public health or environmental science is essential for this role.
  • At least two years of experience working in local government as a public health specialist is required.
  • You must be able to effectively communicate complex information to various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

The Environmental Health team is responsible for ensuring the delivery and coordination of all statutory public health functions, including food safety, infectious disease control, tobacco control, community education, and nuisance complaints. As a Public Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in protecting the public health of our community by monitoring, educating, and achieving compliance with public health standards.
