Job Opportunity: Energy Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Energy Systems Specialist to join our team at Veolia in Sydney.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on world-class energy projects in a fast-growing division of Veolia. As an Energy Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining cutting-edge district cooling plants, recycled water facilities, and high-voltage embedded networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimise plant operations, conduct continuous improvement practices, and perform routine maintenance duties.
  • Undertake fault-finding practices and run diagnostics to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Supervise subcontractors on-site and ensure quality workmanship on all jobs.
  • Capture and record relevant maintenance data in Veolia's Asset Management System.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical role, preferably in energy infrastructure or a related field.
  • Familiarity with working in an industrial setting and a trade qualification in Air Conditioning, Mechanical, or Electrical fields would be highly regarded.
  • Proficient computer and software skills, as well as a working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
  • Reliable transport to Barangaroo (5-minute walk from Wynyard station) and confidence to work unsupervised in an autonomous role.
