Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO) to join our team at the Mt Weld operation. As a MESO, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing the medical and emergency services systems and processes at our site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain emergency response and medical facilities, equipment, and resources for the Mt Weld Operation.
- Review and write reports on medical and emergency procedures.
- Design, develop, and maintain effective integrated management systems (IMS).
- Apply HSE legislation relevant to mining practices.
- Provide clarity and advice on HSE statutory requirements and manage interactions with regulators and external bodies.
- Broad-based stakeholder engagement with focus on near mine communities.
- Manage HSE projects and issues.
Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue
- C Class Driver's Licence (MR Class Driver's Licence desirable)
- Ability to collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Efficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work productively with limited supervision.
- Proactive and able to recognize problems/risks towards the company and solutions to mitigate or eliminate these risks.
- Exceptional relationship building skills.
