Role Overview

We are seeking a Strategic Learning Support Specialist to join our team as School Service Leader: Extended Learning (Statewide). This role involves providing specialist on-going instructional support and advice within schools and small regional clusters of schools.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support schools in implementing pedagogical models of support and tiered interventions to address the learning needs of students.
  • Provide in-school support to develop consistent learning and assessment practices that use knowledge of student data to inform teaching and learning.
  • Tailor professional learning to assist teachers to improve curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.

Requirements

  • An education degree with teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the area of specialisation.
  • The ability to work in a focused and collaborative manner in a school environment to support the improvement of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
  • Registration to teach in Tasmanian Schools or the ability to gain registration.

Salary Range

$90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
