Job Summary

The Building Compliance Officer will be responsible for undertaking compliance investigations, managing and assessing Complying Developments and Part 6 Certificate Applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake thorough investigations to ensure compliance with relevant building legislation.
  • Manage and assess Complying Developments and Part 6 Certificate Applications in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide Principal Certifying Services to customers involved in building construction, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Building Surveying or recognised equivalent by Fair Trading NSW (or near completion).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant building and planning legislation.
  • Proven experience in investigation management and enforcement action.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent customer service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team environment.
  • Current Class C drivers licence.
  • Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles.
