Optimising Wind Portfolio Performance

The role of Wind Asset Performance Specialist is pivotal in driving the reliability and optimising maintenance strategies across our wind portfolio. The successful candidate will focus on developing and implementing effective maintenance plans to reduce unplanned downtime, improve safety, and unlock innovative ways to extend asset life.
About the RoleThis challenging opportunity involves conducting thorough FMECA and reliability reviews to inform strategy development. You will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting condition monitoring data and turbine performance trends. This includes analysing real-time and historical operational data in collaboration with the Operations Diagnostics Centre. Additionally, you will develop and own asset intelligence systems to track performance trends and collaborate with OEMs, research partners, and site teams to address systemic reliability challenges. Emerging technologies such as drones, digital twins, and AI-based analytics will also be explored to enhance asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime and improve safety.
- Analyse real-time and historical operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement asset intelligence systems.
- Monitor and interpret condition monitoring data to inform maintenance decisions.
You may come from a background in renewables or heavy industry, but what matters most is your ability to apply reliability engineering principles and asset management practices to drive performance improvement. To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A degree qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Experience applying Reliability Engineering techniques and Asset Management principles.
- A strong understanding of HSE requirements and their practical application.
- Excellent analytical skills, including root cause analysis and performance diagnostics.
- Possession of or eligibility/willingness to obtain Chartered Registration with Engineers Australia.
