Job Description

The National Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to ensure customer requirements are met, while delivering budgeted profit results.

This role is accountable for all operational matters, taking clear and decisive action in accordance with our values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Target zero accidents across the Service unit
  • Meet or exceed financial targets (EBIT)
  • Balance demand of customers, sales team, employees, and contractors
  • Establish a profitable A&D service function
  • Manage A&D contracts and related work
  • Review and implement risk assessments and procedures
  • NCR management of goods and services
  • Manage maintenance, inspection, and testing programs
  • Manage inventory and service provision
  • Improve FMS fleet and warehousing efficiency nationally

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Mandatory:
- Familiarity with OH&S and safe work practices
- Proven people management capabilities and communication skills.
- Experience in a large business high volume fleet environment

Desirable:
- Waste, recycling and/or packaging industry background

Qualifications:
Mandatory:
- Minimum of 8 years employment background in a national operational role, preferable with logistics technologies experience

Desirable:
- Bachelor in Business, Administration Supply Chain or other logistics qualifications preferred but not essential
