Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and assembling structural components of crane mechanical systems.

The role involves working with blueprints to determine specifications, inspecting fabricated components for accuracy, creating maintenance schedules, and conducting diagnostic testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Appropriate VIC state certification
  • Proven experience working as a fitter mechanical
  • At least 3 years of experience
  • The ability to use hand and power tools
  • The ability to interpret blueprints for mechanical systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Benefits

This is a full-time permanent position with a competitive hourly rate of $40.00 per hour. The working hours are 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am - 1:00 pm, and Saturday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (if required).

The schedule includes an 8-hour shift, with overtime pay and penalty rates available. The ideal candidate must be able to commute or relocate to Thomastown VIC before starting work.

Others

Experience in the field of fitters is essential for this role. A driver's license is preferred but not required. Work authorization for Australia is mandatory.
