Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to perform planned maintenance on various mine sites throughout the Pilbara and North West regions.

  • The successful candidate will have relevant Australian mobile plant trade qualifications and experience, knowledge, and understanding of mining equipment.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work in remote areas within a supported team is essential.

Must-Have Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant Australian mobile plant trade qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology).
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of mining equipment and procedures.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.

  • 1hr of Airport standby time & 2hrs of flight travel time paid to/from the Pilbara.
  • All travel hours on site paid – airport to site, intersite, and site to camp / vice versa.
  • Reimbursements paid for transport to and from home to airport, or airport parking.
