About the Role
This is a pivotal position that offers a clear scope for making a real impact as an Environmental Specialist / Contaminated Land Expert / Sustainability Consultant, specializing in contaminated land, with Scotford Fennessy, a prominent national consulting firm.
Day-to-day matters will span a mixture of office and field activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting field investigation works, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and over-water sediment sampling in connection with site assessments.
- Investigating contaminated sites, groundwater, asbestos, site remediation, acid sulfate soils assessments, and waste classification.
- Logging subsurface and contamination conditions in the field.
- Overseeing contractors, such as drilling rigs, excavators, service locators, and traffic control crews, to complete works on schedule.
- Applying relevant WA and Australian guidelines for contamination assessment and remediation.
- Adhering to relevant Work Health and Safety requirements.
- Writing reports and preparing proposals for site investigations and inspections.

About You
The ideal candidate will be an Environmental Specialist / Contaminated Land Expert / Sustainability Consultant with circa 5+ years of contaminated land experience. The company will negotiate a salary package commensurate with capabilities and experience, circa $100,000 – $130,000+ + superannuation. Relevantly experienced Senior candidates above this bracket will be considered on a case-by-case basis, circa $130k+ superannuation.
