Grain Handler Position

About the role of Grain Handler: This position is responsible for ensuring efficient and safe service to local grain growers and customers. We are seeking a qualified candidate to work in our country grain storage site in Gunnedah, with opportunities to work at nearby sites as required.

The core activities of a Grain Handler include:

  • ">
  • Sampling grain received at the site, including testing for protein, moisture and contaminants against specifications, and entering data into our system.">
  • Receiving sampled grain via truck at the weighbridge and entering weights into our system.">
  • Monitoring the flow of grain from truck unloading and onto hopper, auger or other equipment.">
  • Protecting and storing grain in bunkers or permanent silo storage, including building, breaking-down and tarping bunkers.">
  • Sweeping, shovelling, blowing down dust and other general housekeeping activities, including site presentation.">
  • Operating equipment including augers, tractors, hoppers, loaders.">

Key Responsibilities

  5. A forklift, front-end loader ticket or HR Truck licence is advantageous.">
