Electorate Community Liaison

Community service is a vital part of our work. Electorate officers play a key role in serving the community by providing administrative support to parliamentarians.
About the Role- Administration and Office Management:
- Providing general administrative support, including office management and coordination of events and activities.
- Constituent Services:
- Delivering high-quality constituent services, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Media and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and media representatives to promote the interests of parliamentarians and their electorates.
- Parliamentary Duties:
- Supporting parliamentarians in their duties, including preparing reports, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings and events.
The successful applicant will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- A proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve outcomes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of government processes and procedures, with a willingness to learn about local government and parliamentary practices.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
This role requires behaviours consistent with Electorate Officer values and Code of Conduct, including responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability and respect in all interactions and decision making.
