Dispatch Supervisor Opportunity at Valvoline Global

Valvoline Global is a leading provider of automotive and industrial solutions, with a strong presence in the global market. We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Supervisor to join our team in Wetherill Park.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient receipt and dispatch of goods in accordance with business requirements.
  • Maintain inventory levels and liaise with suppliers to ensure sufficient stock.
  • Coordinate bookings and allocate loads, as well as select suitable vehicles from approved carriers.
  • Organize and plan deliveries according to customer requirements.
  • Ensure all stock requirements are picked for next-day deliveries and equipment is maintained at a safe and serviceable level.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure productivity and adherence to WHS guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure all materials are handled appropriately and safely, and stored in an orderly manner.
  • Allocate day-to-day duties within the warehouse team and provide supervision.
  • Conduct periodic stock takes in accordance with procedure.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment.
  • Formal OHS certification or training, desirable.
  • OHS experience is essential.
  • Ability to coordinate employees.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize own workload and prioritize tasks.
  • Embodies the three virtues to be an ideal team player: hungry, humble, and smart.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, whilst not essential, would be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
