Job Overview

A funding and liquidity management associate is responsible for ensuring effective funding within the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver effective liquidity, funding, and cash management by implementing efficient financial strategies and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive liquidity reporting and management information packs to support informed decision-making.
Accountabilities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local statutory liquidity regulations across Australia and Asia Pacific by staying up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage cash/nostro accounts to maximize fund utilization and minimize financial risks.
  • Support the Head of Funding and Liquidity in raising funding through wholesale markets by leveraging expertise and building strategic partnerships.
  • Execute Treasury products in a cost-effective manner to fulfill local requirements and risk parameters.
  • Develop an investor base to diversify funding sources and enhance the bank's liquidity position.
Requirements
  • Investment/commercial banking background with knowledge of cash and liquidity management principles.
  • Local knowledge of regulatory rules and regulations as well as relevant KYC/AML requirements.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with proficiency in VBA programming languages.
  • Knowledge of investment products and ability to analyze transactions for impact on cash flows and General Ledger.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment with minimal exposure to adverse working conditions.
  • May require occasional remote work to accommodate business needs.
  • Significant work pressures caused by concentration on analytical work and conflicting priorities.
