**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Research Assistant to join our Immunology Division at the Naik Laboratory in Australia's premier biomedical research institute.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, including reagents and stocks, human and mouse ethics, training of new students and staff, and driving independent projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cell culture, multiparameter flow cytometry, and molecular biology.

**Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing laboratory affairs, including reagents and stocks, human and mouse ethics
  • Training new students and staff
  • Driving independent projects and supporting other lab members
  • Developing and maintaining high-quality experimental protocols

**Qualifications and Experience**

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree with Honours or Master's in an appropriate field of study
  • Demonstrated laboratory research experience
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to accurately record data, results, and development of new methods and theories
  • Project management, oral and written communication, and reporting skills
  • Multiparameter flow cytometry, primary cell culture, mouse experimentation, and molecular biology

**Working Arrangements**

This full-time position offers a salary range of $92,364 - $110,320 per annum, with up to 17% superannuation and attractive salary packaging options available.

You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and contribute to groundbreaking projects in immunology and haematopoiesis.
