The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled Fabrication Apprentice to join our team at Rapid Perforating, a company specialising in perforated metal, treadplate, handrails, gantries, and expanded metal products.

Job Details

As a Fabrication Apprentice, you will work under the direction of your supervisor to learn the intricacies of cutting, grinding, welding, and bending steel in an engineering workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learning and applying skills in cutting, grinding, welding, and bending steel
  • Assisting in light fabrication work, perforated sheeting, and steel fabrication
  • Operating a range of machinery and hand and power tools
  • Interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Performing general workshop duties

Benefits

  • Full-time 4-year contract with paid annual and personal leave
  • Opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade
  • Standard hours 7am to 3:30pm with Friday finish at 1pm
  • Access to 1:1 mentoring and training
  • Paid weekly
  • Opportunity to access Government subsidy payments of up to $5000 for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship
