System Installation and Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled technician to join our team as a System Installation and Maintenance Technician. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage systems, including security, communication, and data networks.

As a System Installation and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:

  • Installing, testing, and maintaining low-voltage systems, including security cameras, access control systems, and wireless communication systems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing system malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, and replacing worn-out or damaged components
  • Collaborating with other technicians and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality results

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. You should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and moves, adds, and changes of Mission Critical systems
  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cable and devices
  • Detect, diagnose, and repair systems and/or equipment issues
  • Complete preventative maintenance and system upgrades
  • Produce accurate documentation of all services performed on calls or tasks
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2-4 years' experience with low-voltage systems installation and maintenance
  • Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion), wireless communication, and cabling best practices
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and software
  • OSHA 10 certification and MA State D-License (for MA security work)
  • Ability to travel throughout New England and work off-hours when required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with integrated security control systems in sensitive environments
  • Industry manufacturer certifications
  • RI TST Data Licensing and Firestop Certified (Hilti or 3M)
  • Boom and scissor lift certified
